I made these scrap fabric lavender bag hearts last year but the basic scrappy fabric heart idea can be used to make greeting cards, applique patches and lots more. This is such a great way to use even the teeny tiniest scraps of pretty fabric.

Wendy from My French Twist has given these boho fabric hearts gorgeous tassels, She suggests they would make a lovely addition to a bottle of wine gift or just hung on a door handle as decoration.

Shelly from Mimi - a great name for Grandma has used lots of strips of scrap fabric to create this beautiful wreath. I just love the mix of colours and textures she’s used.

Marianne from Songbird has really gone to town making these prettier than pretty hearts from her stash of fabric, lace, ribbon and buttons. Aren’t they gorgeous?

Kippi from Kippi at Home has put her fabric hearts on sticks so they can go in a glass jar vase as a beautiful decoration. The buttons really give them such a sweet look and they look fabulous in the painted jar.

Kristen from Scrap Fabric Love has used some long thin strips of fleece left over from backing her quilts to make a couple of soft squishy heart shaped cushions.

This sweatshirt had a logo that I wanted to cover and my scrap fabric stash provided just what I needed. This sweatshirt makeover is from 2021 and I still wear it regularly. Regular washing has given the scrap fabric patch and embroidery a lovely texture.

Sulky has a lovely clear tutorial to make pretty striped placemats and mug rugs.

Jan from You Make It Simple shows us how to create these sweet little scrappy stuffed hearts. She includes a link to her tutorial to make a scrappy fabric panel which can then me turned into these little hearts.

This beautiful heart wall hanging was made by Cindy in her Country Home using fabric yo-yos. There isn’t a tutorial, but plenty of photos to inspire if you wanted to try making something similar.

More yo-yos, this time from Country Peony that uses a clever gadget that makes heart shaped yo-yos. Elizabeth has used her heart shaped yo-yos to make a garland.

Little felt hearts embellished with scraps of ribbon, fabric, lace, buttons, broken jewellery etc can be turned into a keyring, bag charm or even a brooch.

Beautiful pieced heart cushion covers from Always Expect Moore. What a gorgeous project to use up little bits of fabric left over from a quilt maybe?

This photo makes me smile! A box full of fabric hearts from Cottage at the Crossroads. These fabric hearts are hand stitched so they are simple to make and ideal for people who don’t have a sewing machine.

Pocket hugs are a lovely thing to send to a friend or loved one, or even something to make for yourself. These are made from little bits of felt and embellished with pretty fabric scraps.
