Paper garlands you can make yourself
/Garland, bunting, banner, swag, pennant, flags, festoon, streamer - whatever you call these kind of decorations I hope we can all agree they are fun to make and to decorate with.
What you might use to make a garland, bunting or banner with will depend on several factors, including what you have access to and where it’s going to go.
If you are decorating outside in the garden then something waterproof or washable is advisable unless you are guaranteed dry weather (something like this scrap fabric bunting for example) but for indoor decorating then paper can be a good choice. Paper is inexpensive, easily available and simple to craft with. I imagine most of us made simple paper chains when we were little but paper garlands can be so much more, I’ve put together a collection of lovely paper garland ideas to get you inspired:
