Handmade Monday #421
/Hello everyone, I’m so pleased to be able to welcome you to this week’s Handmade Monday. Handmade Monday is our creative link up where bloggers can link up their craft tutorials, projects, recipes etc to inspire us all.
Something mostly non-craft related to share with you this week. I was lucky enough to have a day trip to London on Friday with a group of friends for someone’s special birthday. After brunch we enjoyed a little light shopping then an afternoon of sightseeing in the Greenwich area, including the lovely Greenwich Park.
The photo below is from the Observatory where Greenwich Mean Time GMT originates, looking out at the Maritime Museum and Royal Naval College (where they filmed scenes for Bridgerton, The Crown, The King’s Speech, Gulliver’s Travels, Thor and lots more) with Docklands and Canary Wharf behind.
We then took a walk up to the O2 arena (the millennium dome) to Mamma Mia the party experience in the evening. It’s a restaurant/theatre experience with lovely food as well as a show that happens in among all the tables. All Abba songs of course and lots of encouragement to sign along, dance etc. We had such a fun time, then a mini bus back home arriving back at 2am. It’s been quite a long time since I was out until 2am, I can tell you!!
Dressing for a day out and party evening was tricky, it’s all about layers! I wore my disco ball top (perfect for Abba of course) which I made last year with this lovely (aff link) Lewis & Irene fabric. Let’s take a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday.

Remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.
Lisa from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S has turned an old copy of an Edith Holden’s Country Diary book into gorgeous envelopes. I still have my Country Diary book from 1980 which I had for Christmas that year, I love these illustrations.
Claire from Pillar Box Blue has another beautiful paper printable craft for us. These mini faux plants are just too cute!
Press Print Party shows us 2 ways to make money leis for graduation gifts. I know the young people are dealing with cash less and less but I think anyone would still be thrilled to receive one of these!
Congratulations to you all. There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.
A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time and is just a nice thing to do!
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social
HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here.
At Handmade Monday the links are shown in a random order so it’ll look different each time you pop by.
