Handmade Monday #377

Hi everyone and a very warm welcome to this week’s Handmade Monday.
I have found time for a little bit of sewing this week. I’d made this dress a couple of weeks ago from an old duvet cover that a friend gave me. It’s the Benning dress from Seamwork and was a lovely really easy make. I wanted to give it a little extra something and I’d asked over on instagram for some ideas. I settled on added some using some bright pink thread to add some top stitching and some decorative stitching in a few places. I’m happy because it’s given it just a little bit of colour, I used up some highlighter pink thread I’ve had for a while and I didn’t need to buy anything new. Plus I have a lovely floaty dress for hot summer days.
