Handmade Monday #333
/Hello everyone, it’s time for this week’s Handmade Monday, our weekly link up for handmade ideas, crafts and recipes. Creative bloggers can share their tutorials and projects and we can all check out the ideas and get inspired.
This Handmade Monday will stay open for 3 weeks because I’m taking a summer break. You can pop back as often as you like between now and the 21st July when this linky will close. I’ll pick extra features for Handmade Monday #334 on the 23rd July to make up for it :-)
This week I gave this bag making tutorial , originally published in 2017, a bit of a refresh. Blogging is constantly changing and we all learn as we go along so it makes sense to revisit an old tutorial sometimes and look it over with fresh eyes. Is it clear and easy to follow? What can I add or remove to make it better? Sometimes I might make a project again, so I can take new, better photos of the process but this time I settled on creating some little diagrams which I think explain things more clearly than photos. Personally I love little diagrams like this to work from, I prefer them to videos which can be noisy, go too fast or too slow and need pausing at vital moments. Don’t get me wrong, there is a place for videos and I’m used them many times to understand a process, crochet stitch etc but generally photos and diagrams suit my way of learning best.
What about you? What kind of tutorials do you like best?
Let’s take a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. Click through on the photos to see the original posts.
Remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.
Allyson from Southern Sunflowers gave an old basket a makeover with paint, rope and seashells.
Gail from Purple Hues and Me upcycled an old tuna can and shows us a really clever technique to make this lovely flower topper.
This Spiral Apple Bread from Trick n Treat looks SO good.
Congratulations to you all There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.
A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time and is just a nice thing to do!
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social
HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here.
At Handmade Monday the links are shown in a random order so it’ll look different each time you pop by.
