Handmade Monday #293
/Welcome to Handmade Monday, our link up for all things handmade. Crafts, decor ideas and recipes are all welcome here, if it’s handmade we are happy for you to share it. This is a great place to find a few new creative ideas and inspiration too.
Here in the UK we’ve had an odd sort of week, a new prime minister on Monday and the death of the Queen on Thursday. No one seems quite sure what “national mourning” means we should do. Some things have been cancelled, some things are just going on as normal and some people have put flags outside their houses which is not something we do here very much normally. We have a national day off on Monday week, the day of the funeral and I will take time out to watch that on the telly.
My dad met the Queen a couple of times through his work, in fact we found this photo of them together when we were sorting through his belongings recently. I’m not sure exactly when it was, most likely early 2000’s.
Ok, let’s get back to handmade ideas and inspiration and take a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. Click through on the photos to see the original posts.
Please remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.
Birdz of a Feather says this beautiful cabinet is her first foray into the world of hand painted furniture! If this is a first attempt I can’t wait to see what Sara can do with a little practice!
I really love this flower patchwork table topper from Hello Sewing. I know it’s made here in nice Autumnal shades but it would be fun to make in Chistmassy colours or fabric too wouldn’t it?
I only ever make soup with pumpkins but it would be good to mix things up a bit this year! This pumpkin bread from Treat and Trick looks delicious.
Congratulations to you all There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.
A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time.
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social
CAN I REMIND EVERYONE THAT HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
