Handmade Monday #264

Well, hello my craft loving friends and welcome to another Handmade Monday! Craft bloggers can share their handmade projects and tutorials in the link up below and craft enthusiasts can find lots of new ideas and inspiration.

How is life treating you? I find crafting, especially something mindless and relaxing in the evenings really helps me even out in my mind all the things life can throw at us. The news both here and all around the world seems very chaotic sometimes and a bit of stitching, knit or crochet can be very calming. I picked my C2C scrap blanket back up this week, I’d not worked on it for a while as I actually ran out of small bits of DK yarn back in October 2020 (I check on Instagram when it was!) My stash busting was SO successful I only had whole balls and skeins left then. I’ve generated more scrappy bits again now so I am back to my scrap blanket for a while. C2C is very soothing as it’s so easy and doesn’t require a great deal of though, except at the corners!

In other news I’ve had a substantial hair cut! Apart from a trim that my friend did for me in her garden in the summer of 2020 it’s just been growing and growing. It kept getting caught up in my bra when I got dressed each morning and the final straw was when I ended up buttoning my hair into my coat the other day which took a while to untangle! I got my hairdresser friend to lop 10” off in a ponytail so I can donate it to a charity called Little Princess Trust who make wigs for children who’ve lost their hair. She then worked her magic with some styling and shaping etc which is why it looks so swishy at the back at the moment.

Now here are the features from last week’s Handmade Monday, just click through on the photos to see the original posts -

  • Please remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.

Selep Imaging joined us and shared this beautiful mosaic table. It’s an upcycled project, Jeanne cut up old blue and white china to make the tiles. Isn’t it beautiful?

Maya from Little Treasures has wowed again with this beautiful crochet necklace. I love the flower and bead mix, it’s so pretty.

Oour.way has a tutorial to make this needle punch rainbow bag. Needle punch is really popular at the moment but I’ve only tried it once a few years ago. Maybe it’s time to give it another go!

Congratulations to you all. There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog. I think you should - you deserve it!!!

Please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. Share some of your favourites on your social media maybe and leave a nice comment or two.

Supporting one another with a like or share isn’t too much to ask right? And every little helps :-)

The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:

  • Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it

  • Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url

  • You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before

  • Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social

CAN I REMIND EVERYONE THAT HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS

If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
