I don’t know why but I do seem drawn to crafts that involve birds. They can be hyper realistic or more stylised - I like both equally! There are so many different types of bird and many are so colourful which makes them a lot of fun to create when crafting. This birds on a wire cross stitch design really caught my eye, it’s a lovely take on a temperature project. You stitch a tiny bird each day - or catch up each weekend I guess - and vary the colour depending on the average temperature each day. I had the pleasure of meeting Lorraine, the designer at Sea Parrot recently at a craft show where she was showcasing her beautiful fabrics. You can find all her gorgeous bird designs here: Sea Parrot Fabric. These are just the quick photos I took of quilts at the show made from Sea Parrot fabrics.

I love printing with wooden blocks, you can use regular acrylic paint with them for printing on paper and card and use fabric paint for printing on fabric. You can buy them from all sorts of craft stores, I found this one on amazon.
