Beautiful Christmas Sewing Patterns to download today

With the festive season fast approaching it’s a great time to think about sewing beautiful projects to create a one of a kind Christmas decoration or gift for someone special.

I love the ability the internet give us to download patterns instantly these days. As long as you have access to a printer or a nearby copy shop who can print patterns, you have a world of lovely patterns at your fingertips.

It can be so convenient for us as consumers but also gives small independent designers access to markets worldwide.

Instant downloadable PDF patterns tend to be very reasonably priced too and one of my favourite places to look for them is Etsy. After the success of my collection of super cute Christmas knitting patterns last year I’ve been searching Etsy again to bring you a collection of beautiful Christmas sewing patterns.

I hope you enjoy browsing these beautiful patterns as much as I have. I tried to gather a mix of different items, sewing styles and techniques so there is something for everyone. Just click though the pictures to be taken to the Etsy site if you would like more details on the patterns or if you’d like to make a purchase.

Primrose Cottages has the sweetest tiny quilt block patterns. You could use them together for a mini quilt or wall hanging, individually on gift bags, coasters or table mats, they would make a beautiful table runner too.

Talking of table runners, I love this traditional design from Simpson Design Studio too.

Gingermelon has such cute felt patterns, these gingerbread houses are just adorable and the pattern includes the tree too.

How about making gorgeous Snow Birds for your tree using this pattern from Larissa Holland?

I love how modern these quilted stocking look in the fabrics shown but you could make them in a different fabric for a completely different vibe. The pattern from Little Sister Sewing includes 2 sizes and 4 variations too.

Mollie and Mama’s beautiful English paper piecing patchwork stocking pattern also includes a pattern for the sweet little felt mouse.

I think Patchwork Pottery’s pattern for this Christmas tree wall hanging is super cute, I really love this traditional but cute style.

Another beautiful pattern from Patchwork Pottery is this lovely Winter Wonderland candle mat.

These placemats from A Spoonful of Sugar use the foundation patchwork technique, you could make a tableful if you have time or just one special one for a centrepiece or for Santa’s treats to go on!

As if these Snowman Mug Rugs from K Lee 2 Strings aren’t cute enough, they come with a table runner pattern too!

Need to dress up as a Christmas tree at any point in the festive season (and I might well ask, why wouldn’t you? :-D) then you might like to check out Winterstar Cosplay’s ebook.

Over at Etsy you can find ready made gifts too of course, not just downloadable patterns like these. I have a small Etsy shop myself and do check out the Etsy Editors Picks too for loads of gift ideas. My main tip for buying physical items from Etsy sellers is always to allow plenty of time. Makers often make items to order, so making time plus delivery times can add up. The more time you allow the better, it’s just much less stressful all round. With digital downloads you don’t have that consideration of course, you make a purchase and the download is ready within seconds, another reason I love them so much!

You might like to check out this round up packed with more Christmas Sewing ideas too, some of these are free patterns or simple ideas that don’t even need a pattern!

Enjoy your sewing!
